REASON FOR LOSS:


Took off from near Calais on a bomber escort which was attacking aerodromes. It appears the pilot got on the tail of a Hurricane, that looped above him, got on his tail and shot him down. Aircraft completely smashed and no identification. The pilot had been carrying out up to three sorties a day with every fourth day off.

Markings: a black eagle badge. Aircraft delivered by Arado of Warnemunde on 19/4/40. Engine no. 1371 was delivered 4/4/40. Armament: four MG’s recovered.
