REASON FOR LOSS:


This aircraft crashed, and there was a large explosion reported to be caused by 50-Kg bombs. The wreckage is scattered over a wide area, and it is thought that the crew are all dead – the remains of at least three people have been found.
The unit has been assumed from the Ausweis, KG30 being the only unit known to have their Ausweis issued to them at Perleberg; the date of issue indicates the 6
th Staffel, as it agrees with previous Ausweis. Crew: Feldwebel. Gunther Suhr – dead, other members of crew not identified. Markings: aircraft made by Junkers Flugzeug unt Motoren Werke Dessau. Engines: Jumo 211 B, made by Junkers, Dessau; one engine no. 47751. Armament: three MG 15 found, along with remains of a large, external bomb rack.
