REASON FOR LOSS:
On the 07.09.42, II and IV Gruppen were scrambled to intercept an enemy formation of 29 bombers heading for their targets of Utrecht and
Rotterdam. Uffz Platzer is believed to have been shot down in combat with RAF fighters, he did not bale out and was killed in the crash.
